Board Members - Orientation Training
California Business and Professions Code Section 453 requires every newly appointed board member to complete a training and orientation program offered by the Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA) within one year of assuming office. The training covers the functions, responsibilities and obligations that come with being a member of a DCA board.
DCA has scheduled the following Board Member Orientation Training (BMOT) sessions:
- October 15, 2008; Southern California*
- December 3, 2008; Sacramento*
*Specific location will be announced 1-2 months prior to the orientation.
All BMOT sessions will begin at 8:45 a.m. and conclude at 4:30 p.m. To receive credit for the training, Board Members must attend the entire day. Please make travel arrangements that allow you to attend the full training.
